According to an official announcement of TvN’s outdoor cooking reality show Three Meals a Day on January 16, actor Jang Keun Suk has stepped down from the show in the wake of his tax evasion scandal, Kpop Herald reported.

Previously on January 13, a local media outlet revealed that the actor had to pay over 10 billion won ($9 million) in fines for tax evasion.

The reality show’s new episode Fishing Village was set to be broadcast on January 16, but would be delayed for a week to January 23, in order for the production team to edit out all of Jang’s scenes. The focus of the program will now shift onto Yoo Hae Jin and Cha Seung Won.

In response to the announcement, an official of Jang’s agency responded: “Jang decided to leave the program in order not to damage the show. He feels sorry for the staff members and the celebrities he worked with.”
