Jang Ki Yong, Jin Se Yeon & Lee Soo Hyuk Take Part In Reincarnation Themed KBS2 Drama “Born Again”
Jang Ki Yong and Lee Soo Hyuk are going to be love rivals in upcoming drama –Born Again.
Scheduled to air in April, the new series is a mystery melodrama depicting the fate and resurrection of two men who fell in love with the same woman in their two different lives. Actress Jin Se Yeon confirmed her role as the female lead on January 30.
The timelines are set during the 1980’s and the present time. With reincarnation as one of the key plot elements, expect an immersing story this Spring.
Additionally, the viewers can expect an enthralling narrative as the events from the past are set to be repeated in the modern time.
The initial character sketch revealed for Jang Ki Yong is that of an upright man who disregarded his kinship to his atrocious father. Challenging two roles of different eras, the actor is set to showcase another dimension of his acting arsenal. A feat that he has been consistently improving as seen in his recent works.
Playing a detective in the 1980’s timeline, Lee Soo Hyuk shifts to a prosecutor role in the present time for his new project. He is expected to be a romanticist who will pique viewers’ curiosity and a hunter of evil filled with cold charisma.
Another must-watch factor to see in the series is the opposition between Jang and Lee’s characters because of a woman. The two lead actors are both housed by YG Entertainment.
Successfully expanding his drama projects, Jang Ki Yong has starred in recent noteworthy dramas such as Search: WWW and Kill It.
Meanwhile, Lee Soo Hyuk marks his comeback drama after completing military service with Born Again. He last worked on Sweet Stranger and Me and has appeared in High School King of Savvy, Local Hero and The Scholar Who Walks The Night.
The production team of Born Again promises an exciting genre as the story will happen in two timelines intertwining the lives of the three main characters.
Born Again is aiming April broadcast on KBS 2TV.
