Well-loved Korean actor Ji Chang Wook has tested positive for COVID-19.

Earlier today, his agency, Glorious Entertainment, confirmed the unfortunate news to SPOTV News. “Ji Chang Wook has tested positive for COVID-19. He is currently under quarantine and treatment in accordance with the guidelines of the health authorities,” the agency said.

The charming and multi-faceted star has been busily preparing for his next drama project. Before his diagnosis, he was filming the upcoming Netflix original series The Sound of Magic together with Hwang In Yeop and Choi Sung Eun.

Soon after, JTBC News announced that the drama filming has been halted in the meantime. Moreover, all the production staff and cast members are being tested for COVID-19.

Based on the popular webtoon Annarasumanara, the emotional music drama narrates the story of a girl, Yoon Ai, who became an adult too early, and Ri Eul, a mysterious magician who wants to remain a child even after becoming an adult.

The Sound of Magic is being directed by Love in the Moonlight and Itaewon Class PD Kim Sung Yoon. Meanwhile, Kim Min Jung, who has previously worked with him on various projects including Who Are You: School 2015, penned the script.
