Korean actor Joo Won is set to hold his last fan meeting before heading off to the army, according to his agency.
The actor will meet his fans in a special event called ‘See You Again! Talk & Concert’, which will be held on May 13, 6 p.m. at Yonsei University in Seoul.
“In order to keep the promise with his fans, Joo Won has decided to hold a concert,” said Huayi Brothers Entertainment. The fan meeting was personally planned by the actor and will follow a talk show cum concert format. Tickets will be available on Interpark’s website beginning April 29.
Joo began his career as a musical actor in 2007 with ‘Altar Boyz’, which was based on an American musical of the same title.
He rose to fame through the 2010 television drama ‘King of Baking, Kim Takgu’ as the antagonist Gu Ma Jun. The highly successful KBS drama marked Joo’s television debut.
He went to star in other hit dramas like ‘Ojakgyo Family’, ‘Bridal Mask’, ‘Good Doctor’ and ‘Yong Pal’. He also acted in several films such as ‘Fashion King’ and ‘Steal My Heart’.
The television remake of 2001 South Korean movie ‘My Sassy Girl’ will be the actor’s last drama before he goes to the military. The drama has been pre-produced in its entirety. It is set to premiere on May 29, almost two weeks after Joo’s enlistment.
The actor will begin his mandatory military service on May 16.
