On September 12, the esteemed national chart which records the popularity of songs and albums in South Korea had named a new set of musical releases which had set amazing milestones recently!

As per Gaon Chart’s system, a platinum certification is awarded to albums that surpass 250,000 sales, while an album can get a double platinum certification when it sells over 500,000 copies.

According to Gaon Chart’s list, Kang Daniel’s solo debut mini-album Color on Me had already recorded 503,558 copies within approximately fifty days of its release.

With this, it had been bestowed a double platinum certification, along with the solo debut mini-album of EXO’s Baekhyun titled City Lights.

This achievement marks another success for Daniel’s record-breaking debut album. It earlier listed both the highest first day and week sales for soloists through Hanteo, another top music chart in Korea.

According to their records, Color on Me was able to exceed 400,000 cumulative sales in less than three days. In fact, by July 31 at 12 PM KST, the album has already sold over 404,896 copies.

Meanwhile, Daniel is currently conducting his first-ever solo fan meeting tour. Titled Color on Me, the set of events have upcoming stops in Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, and Manila.

He successfully kicked the tour off on August 16 through a sweet encounter with his fans in Singapore who gave him such a warm welcome in his new venture as a soloist.

The idol also recently wrapped up the Bangkok stop of his tour, where he was able to show his colorful stages in front of his Thai Danitys.
