Kang Ha Neul Finishes Military Service, Picks KBS Drama For Comeback Project

Kang Ha Neul completes his army duty after 20 months.

Fans of Kang Ha Neul should be on a happy mood today now that the actor is back to resume his regular activities.

In September 2017, Kang joined the Army Corps of Daejeon Gyeryong. Today, upon his military discharge, the actor will hold a brief meeting to greet his fans and the media.

During his military service, Kang was part of the musical Shinheung Military Academy produced by the Republic of Korea Army. The musical captures the painstaking life of freedom fighters at the forefront of the fight for independence against the Japanese empire.

Marking his post-military project, Kang Ha Neul also confirmed appearance on KBS2 drama, When The Camellia Flower Blooms. He will star opposite Gong Hyo Jin in a romantic comedy thriller slated for September broadcast.

Backing up the project are Cha Young Hoon and Im Sang Choon. Their collective works include Are You Human, Fight For My Way and Uncontrollably Fond.

Prior to his military enlistment, the actor worked on films New Trial, Forgotten and Midnight Runners. The latter, which he co-starred with Park Seo Joon, was well-received in the box office.

He was part of the remarkable cast ensembles of hit drama Misaeng and also took part in star-studded SBS sageuk Moonlovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo.
