Kang Ki Young Confirmed With COVID-19 + Unable To Join “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” Cast’s Scheduled Trip

Extraordinary Attorney Woo’s “best mentor” Kang Ki Young has unfortunately contracted the COVID-19 virus and is now undergoing self-quarantine.

Namoo Actors has recently made an important announcement regarding the current health status of one of its talented and well-rounded artists, Kang Ki Young.

On the morning of August 8, the agency released an official statement saying that the actor has contracted the COVID-19 virus.

Namoo Actors revealed that the Extraordinary Attorney Woo star has crossed paths with someone who was diagnosed with COVID-19 over the past weekend. He preemptively used a self-testing kit and unfortunately received a positive result For further diagnosis, Kang Ki Young took a rapid antigen test afterward and the results also came back positive. 

The agency added that Kang Ki Young does not have any particular symptoms at the moment. In consideration of the people he came in close contact with, the actor has also immediately halted her scheduled activities and will focus on treatment.

With the sudden news, Kang Ki Young was not able to join the cast of Extraordinary Attorney Woo on their 6-day vacation to Bali, which will start on August 8.

“In accordance with the guidelines set by disease control authorities, we will put in our full effort to carry out all necessary measures with the health of our actors and staff as our top priority,” Namoo actors concluded.

Meanwhile, Kang Ki Young made his debut in 2012 with his cameo appearance in the drama The King’s Doctor. He rose to fame after his roles in While You Were Sleeping, What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, and I’m Not a Robot.
