Kim Dong Wook and Jin Ki Joo To Star In Upcoming KBS2 TV Drama

Another time travel series is in the works, and it just confirmed its lead stars.

Kim Dong Wook and Jin Ki Joo are pairing up for a new drama project under KBS2 TV. The series, Met You By Chance (literal title) is about two individuals who travel back in time and meet in the year 1987.

It will follow the story of a man who tries to uncover the truth behind a series of murders that occurred in the past and a woman who goes back to prevent her parents’ marriage. They soon realize that their motivations are somehow connected, and their fates entangled.

Portraying the role of Yoon Jae Joon, Kim Dong Wook will once again breathe life to a complex character. Yoon Jae Joon possesses a cool and straightforward personality. After joining the broadcasting company as a reporter for the social affairs department, he became the youngest news anchor to take on the 9 o’clock weekend news slot.

On top of being intelligent, Yoon Jae Joon is handsome, vigorous, and kindhearted. Kim Dong Wook recently starred in dramas Find Me in Your Memory and You Are My Spring, among many others.

Jin Ki Joo takes on the role of Baek Yoon Young, an ordinary city girl in the present age who works hard to fulfill her duties. Strained from the pressures and demands of her job, Baek Yoon Young unravels and takes it out on her mother.

She then finds herself in deep regret for her actions and suddenly living a different life. Jin Ki Joo captures audiences’ attention through her roles in dramas Come and Hug Me, The Secret Life of My Secretary and Homemade Love Story. She currently appears in the drama From Now On Showtime, opposite Park Hae Jin.

The Tale of Nokdu writer Baek So Yeon and Director Kang Soo Yeon headline the production crew. Met You By Chance is eyeing a premiere date at the second half of 2022.
