Kim Woo Bin To Attend The “40th Blue Dragon Film Awards”
A happy news for fans of Kim Woo Bin!
Slowly making his presence back to supporters who dearly missed him, Kim Woo Bin marks his first public appearance since his health-related hiatus.
Set to grace the 40th edition of the Blue Dragon Film Awards, the actor will appear for the first time in a huge Korean entertainment occasion since his bout against nasopharyngeal cancer.
The actor was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal carcinoma in May 2017. It is a rare type of head and neck cancer. He has since regularly receiving rounds of chemotherapy treatments with the help and support of his family.
In the last two years, news of Kim traveling with close friends such as Lee Jong Suk and steady girlfriend Shin Min Ah has been creating buzz, proving how the actor is missed a lot in the Korean entertainment scene.
Kim Woo Bin rose to prominence from his notable supporting TV drama roles, which include The Heirs and School 2013. His rising popularity helped him secured successful film projects, Friend: The Great Legacy, The Con Artist and Master. His first lead man role was for SBS melodrama Uncontrollably Fond with Bae Suzy.
Previously, Kim Woo Bin won the popularity star award at the 35th Blue Dragon Film Awards.
Meanwhile, the 40th Blue Dragon Film Awards will be broadcast live on SBS from 8:45 pm on November 21st.
