Actor Lee Dong Wook Declines All Fantasy Roles After ‘Goblin’?

By  |

Lee Dong Wook prefers a realistic character for his next project after ‘Goblin’. But why?

In a recent interview with fashion magazine High Cut, actor Lee Dong Wook disclosed that he was offered a lot of fantasy roles after his hit tvN drama Goblin. However, he has turned down all the casting offers after due consideration.

He explained: “I feel like (I am) being buried by myself if I play similar characters repeatedly. I don’t think it is a good idea to be consumed that way. I want to play a very realistic character next time.”

Reminiscing about how people thought he had played many wealthy characters even though he just only did that twice in My Girl (2005) and Scent of a Woman (2011), Lee said: “Don’t I need to be careful if just two characters can fix my image?”

More photos of Lee and the interview will be available in the magazine’s 206th edition, which is slated for release on September 21.
