MAMAMOO Delights Fans With Announcement Of New Single “WANNA BE MYSELF”
MAMAMOO is bringing out yet another addictive and empowering single this month that invites spectators to be true to themselves!
South Korean girl group MAMAMOO has a special autum gift in store for their lovely and supportive Moomoos this September.
On the morning of September 8, RBW Entertainment happily announced that the girl group will be releasing a track titled “WANNA BE MYSELF” on September 10.
“[The track] is a surprise gift for fans who have been waiting for MAMAMOO’s music for a long time… We ask for your interest and expectation,” the agency shared.
Raising anticipation, this will also mark MAMAMOO’s return in ten months since the girls released their second studio album Reality In Black and its title track “HIP”.
Moreover, the upcoming track contains the girl group’s various charms and is expected to deliver a hopeful and uplifting message.
Proving its versatility, the group will also showcase its astounding musical prowess, particularly their honey-like vocals and jaw-dropping rapping skills.
Despite the ongoing pandemic, MAMAMOO had been interacting with their fans through different personal ventures during their ten months break.
Showcasing her sweet vocals, Kim Yong Sun, better known as Solar, made her solo debut with her Latin-inspired track titled “Spit It Out” on April 2020.
Through its intoxicating sound and enchanting beats, the said track scored the No. 1 spot in SBS MTV’s The Show, giving Solar her first music show win as a soloist.
Furthermore, the girl group’s youngest member and vocalist Hwasa also recently released her first EP Maria on June 29 and its lead single bearing the same name.
Due to its catchy atmosphere, the track gained massive popularity and impressive feedback even among casual K-Pop listeners.
In addition, the young artist also entered Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales Chart and World Albums Chart with her recent EP.
Adding to the girl group’s achievements, its main rapper Moonbyul also recently debuted as a soloist with her single “Eclipse.”
Leaning towards the dark pop genre, the track reveals Moonbyul’s various charms, alluring visuals and overflowing charisma.
Moreover, the track also showcases not only the female artist’s brilliant skills in rapping but also her alluring vocal abilities.
Proving her all-rounder title, Wheein also captured fans’ attention by releasing song covers through MAMAMOO’s official YouTube Channel.
Some of the tracks she covered this year were EXO Baekhyun’s “Candy” and American singer and songwriter “Honey.”
Meanwhile, MAMAMOO will release “WANNA BE MYSELF” on September 10 at 6 PM KST.
