MAMAMOO Fires Up iTunes Top Album Charts With Latest Mini Album “WAW”
Impressing fans once again with another good and soulful music, versatile girl group MAMAMOO landed an impressive feat with their latest mini-album WAW.
After seven months since the release of TRAVEL, the group recently made their comeback to the music scene with their EP titled WAW. The album contains four soothing and unique ballad tracks which all highlight the girls’ talents in singing and rapping.
Unveiled on June 2 at 6 PM KST, MAMAMOO’s album quickly dominated iTunes’ Top Album Charts globally.
Notably, WAW topped the said charts in at least 21 countries including Brazil, the Philippines, Chile, Malaysia, Mexico, Portugal, Singapore, and Turkey.
Further demonstrating their amazing influence, MAMAMOO’s newest title track called “Where Are We Now” also topped major Korean music charts such as Genie and Bugs.
Other songs included in the album titled “Another Day,” “A Memory For Life” and “Destiny Part 2” also reigned over the said charts, which proves the girl group’s impressive artistry.
Adding to their list of accolades, MAMAMOO was able to surpass 50,000 unique listeners and 100,000 streams for their newest lead single on Genie. Moreover, the quartet’s latest album has also garnered a total of 40,000 sales on Hanteo during the day of its release.
A MUSIC RELEASE THAT IS ONE FOR THE BOOKS
Going for a mellow and soft concept this time, MAMAMOO once again showed a different side proving their versatility as artists with WAW.
The group’s title track “Where Are We Now” features not only Moonbyul, Solar, Wheein and Hwasa’s breathtaking vocals but also their breathtaking harmonization skills. This alone solidifies their status as one of K-Pop’s powerhouse girl groups.

Meanwhile, the group will continue to promote their title track on various music shows in South Korea such as MBC’s Music Core.
