MAMAMOO’s Hwasa Prepares For Another Astounding Comeback Soon

You better prepare your hearts now, MOOMOOs! Main vocalist Hwasa will soon take over the K-Pop scene again with another good set of music!

MAMAMOO’s Hwasa delights fans with the exciting announcement of her first comeback this 2021.

In the morning of September 29, multiple industry representatives reported that the stunning soloist is now gearing up for her comeback this year.

Shortly after, RBW Entertainment confirmed the thrilling news stating that Hwasa is indeed preparing for her new solo album. However, they added that no specific timeframe or date has been decided.

Other important details regarding the dazzling artist’s highly-anticipated comeback as a solo artist, such as the title track, album name, concept, and exact return date will surely be revealed in the following days.

A RETURN TO LOOK OUT FOR

Making MOOMOOs rejoice, this will mark as Hwasa’s return after more than a year since she released her high-quality EP Maria in June 2020. Spearheaded by the title track of the same name, the album consists of a total of seven tracks such as “Kidding,” “LMM,” and “Why,” along with her iconic 2019 single “Twit.”

The same album highlights not only the idol’s incredible singing skills but also her amazing artistry. Proving its massive success, Maria conquered Gaon Album Chart for the 30th week of 2020 and sold over 47,000 copies during the same month. To add, it also entered Billboard’s World Albums Chart and Top Current Album Sales Charts in July 2020.

Meanwhile, its lead single won the Song of the Year at the Asian Music Awards and a Best Digital Song (“Bonsang”) award during the 2020 Golden Disc Awards. It also surpassed 100 million streams on Gaon Chart, proving the artist’s immense popularity.

As if these were not yet enough, Hwasa also raked five consecutive wins on SBS’ Inkigayo and KBS’ Music Bank with “Maria.” Moreover, she received platinum certifications for her track with well-loved rapper Loco called “Don’t Give It To Me.”

With such accolades, expectations are now rising regarding what kind of sound and appearance Hwasa will showcase in her upcoming comeback.
