MONSTA X Cancels World Tour Kick-Off In Seoul Scheduled For May Due To COVID-19
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, MONSTA X has called off their scheduled concert in Seoul this May.
On April 6, Starship Entertainment announced the cancellation of the upcoming 2020 MONSTA X World Tour in Seoul.
The agency delivered the news of pushing back the two-day concerts set to mark the beginning of the group’s scheduled world tour through an official statement posted on their SNS account.
“Hello. This is Starship Entertainment.
We regret to announce that the 2020 MONSTA X WORLD TOUR IN SEOUL originally scheduled to be held on May 9 (Saturday) [and] 10 (Sunday) at KSPO Dome has been cancelled due to the current global coronavirus (COVID-19) spread.
At this time, it is impossible to predict the scale of the outbreak during the dates of the concert in May. In order to prevent further damage and to protect the health of fans, artists, and staff members, we ask for your understanding that we have decided to cancel our concert in Seoul.
We sincerely apologize for bringing the cancellation notice to the fans who have been waiting for MONSTA X’s concert.
We plan to secure a new schedule for the concert in Seoul by keeping an eye on the situation so that the concert can be held again after the situation is stabilized. Additional decisions will be made on Starship Entertainment’s official SNS channel.”
