MONSTA X Shoots Up With “Phenomenon” To Number Two Spot On Oricon’s Daily Album Chart
MONSTA X lives up to their newest album’s title by having it soar to the top of the charts immediately!
MONSTA X landed on the number two spot on Oricon’s Daily Album chart with their newest full Japanese album Phenomenon!
It’s a phenomenon indeed as the boy group rises to the top quickly upon and even before the release of their second full Japanese album!
Phenomenon occupied the number two spot with estimated sales of 20,630 on Oricon’s daily album chart dated August 20.
Continuing to show its dominance on Japan’s largest music statistic site, the album kept its position on the chart for August 21 with an estimated amount of 10,193 additional sales recorded.
The album was released on the midnight of August 21 and saw hot response from fans who loved its new tracks immediately.
It contains three new tracks, including the pre-released singles “Carry On” from earlier in August and “X-Phenomenon” which serves as its lead track and was unveiled in July.
Along with the completely fresh bop titled “My Beast”, three new tracks where members personally participated in the making of were also part of the album’s physical CD versions.
Rappers I.M and Joohoney each worked on the tracks “Champagne” from the album’s limited edition version A and “Thriller” from its regular version, respectively.
Vocalist Wonho also composed the song “Polaroid” which stars on the album’s limited edition version B.
The album also features the Japanese versions of “Alligator” and “Shoot Out” along with previous releases “Livin’ It Up”, “Black Swan”, “Flash Back”, and “Swish” on its tracklist.
