NewJeans’ “Cookie” Reaches 100 Million Streams On Spotify

Another song by New Jeans has surpassed an amazing record on Spotify!

New Jeans’ debut song “Cookie” has exceeded 100 million cumulative plays on Spotify.

According to Spotify, the world’s largest music platform, “Cookie”, one of the NewJeans’ title songs has been played 105,320,023 times as of the last two days.

Notably, it became the girl group’s fifth song to hit the 100-million mark on the said platform. Previously, NewJeans reached the record with their well-loved tracks “Hype boy,” “Attention,” “Ditto,” and “OMG.”

The songs of NewJeans, which are equally loved, are also popular on the charts for a long time. On the latest chart released by Spotify on March 3 (local time), “OMG” ranked 20th in the Global Weekly Top Song and succeeded in charting for nine consecutive weeks. The song, which first entered the chart at No.95 (as of January 5), has been cruising the chart without any major changes since steadily raising the rankings.

“Ditto” entered the chart for 11 consecutive weeks at No. 41 on the Global Weekly Top Song. The debut song “Hype boy” was ranked 134th and is still showing its popularity even after more than 7 months since its release.

On the other hand, New Jeans’ “Ditto,” “OMG,” and “Hype boy” have occupied the 1st to 3rd places for two months on Melon, which boasts the largest share of the domestic music market. In particular, “Ditto” has maintained the top spot for 10 consecutive weeks. Both records appeared for the first time in Melon’s 18-year history.
