Park Woojin And Lee Daehwi To Take A Break First After Wanna One’s Final Concert
Park Woojin and Lee Daehwi will take a well-deserved break first following their contract expiration as Wanna One members.
Brand New Music announced on January 2 that Park Woojin and Lee Daehwi will be resting for a while before resuming activities as idols.
With Woojin and Daehwi’s return to Brand New Music, the agency has stated that it will not rush the two former Wanna One members back into the music and entertainment scene. Instead, they will be given a resting period to take a breather following their busy schedules as a part of the Produce 101 Season 2 project group Wanna One.
“We’ll give Park Woojin and Lee Daehwi, who had been running without breaks, a short holiday after Wanna One’s final concert. After the break, that’s when we’ll be preparing for their debut,” the agency stated.
Woojin and Daehwi will be joining their fellow Brand New Music and former Produce 101 Season 2 trainees Im Youngmin and Kim Donghyun for a new boy group. Youngmin and Donghyun had started promoting as the duo MXM at the same time Woojin and Daehwi were with Wanna One.
Brand New Music is planning to debut the new boy group in April or May. However, this remains tentative.
“We’re still discussing the specific timing and additional details,” it said.
After promoting as a group for one and a half years, Woojin, Daehwi, and the nine other members’ contracts had expired on December 31, 2018, prompting them to head back to their original agencies.
