Red Velvet Rises As Leading K-Pop Girl Group In January 2020 Brand Rankings
The Korean Business Research Institute has finally published this month’s brand reputation rankings for female idol groups!
According to the latest data released by the institute, K-Pop quintet Red Velvet takes over as the top K-Pop girl group for January 2020.
The rankings are based on various factors including consumer participation, media, communication, and community indices analyzed by the organization. Particularly, it extracted a total of 91,242,856 pieces of data among numerous girl groups from December 9, 2019 to January 10, 2020.
Red Velvet On Top
With an impressive 74.48 percent increase in their score since last month, Red Velvet was able to climb up the ranking to take the first place this January. In particular, Irene, Wendy, Seulgi, Joy and Yeri obtained a brand reputation index of 9,159,395.
Some of the high-ranking phrases in the group’s keyword analysis are their latest title track “Psycho”, and their members “Wendy”, and “Joy”. The words such as “present”, “prove”, and “injured” are likewise seen as the girls’ high-ranking related terms.
BLACKPINK At Second Spot
Coming in to take the second place is YG Entertainment’s prized girl group BLACKPINK. The femme fatale quartet was able to secure the high-rank thanks to their 8,643,201 brand reputation index in January.
Meanwhile, fans should watch out as Jennie, Jisoo, Rose, and Lisa are set to make their highly-awaited return early this year.
(G)I-DLE Settles For Third Place
Following at third spot this month is rising charismatic girl group (G)I-DLE. Soyeon, Soojin, Miyeon, Shuhua, Minnie, and Yuqi continues to impress fans as they obtained a total brand reputation index of 7,895,756.
Moreover, rounding up our top-five list this January are MAMAMOO and TWICE who took the fourth and fifth places, respectively.
