Red Velvet To Enchant With “Summer Magic” In August

Make way for a whimsical summer as Red Velvet conjures magic for its August comeback!

SM Entertainment confirmed on July 30 that Red Velvet is set to release new mini album Summer Magic next month.

The latest extended play will be released on August 6, and includes seven tracks, with “Power Up” as the title song. The group aims to duplicate its huge success with last year’s summer hit “Red Flavor” through “Power Up”, which will flaunt a lively tempo with engaging beats to make the listener feel the refreshing vibe of summer.

“Red Velvet proved to be one of the most popular girl bands in summer, with the hit song ‘Red Flavor’. We hope fans enjoy the refreshing feel of summer through the album,” said SM Entertainment

The upcoming album will also celebrate the group’s 4th anniversary since debuted in August 1, 2014. Dubbed as one of the best K-pop group’s of its generation by Time magazine this year, Red Velvet amazes with its distinct musical style that challenges a variety of genres while adding the girls’ versatile talents.

Red Velvet has released two studio albums and seven EPs, with four of it topping Billboard World albums, the most number one achieved by K-pop girl group. They have won Mnet’s Best Female Group in 2017 along with song awards for “Red Flavor”.

Joy, Yeri, Irene, Seulgi and Wendy gear up to hold concert “REDMARE” in Seoul on August 4-5. The girls are also expected to attend 2018 Soribada Best K-Music Awards in September.
