Are you ready for Wendy’s highly-awaited solo debut?

Red Velvet’s Wendy will be making her much-anticipated grand solo debut soon!

Earlier today, Star News has reported that Wendy is currently preparing for her solo debut in April. Soon after, SM Entertainment confirmed the delightful news saying, “Wendy is working on a solo album with the aim of being released in April. Please look forward to it.”

Wendy is set to become the first member of Red Velvet to promote as a soloist. The quartet previously debuted a special unit for Irene and Seulgi in 2020.

Since her debut in August 2014, Wendy has been recognized as one of the most talented vocalists in the K-pop scene. She’s known for her solid singing ability as the main vocal in the team.

Additionally, the Red Velvet member lent her captivating vocals through a couple of OSTs in dramas such as Start-up, The King: Eternal Monarch , Beauty Inside, and Hwarang. Proving her competence as a singer, she likewise collaborated with various artists including John Legend, Eric Nam, among others.

For over a year, Wendy took a long break from activities to recover from the injury she had during a rehearsal for SBS Gayo Daejeon in December 2019. Earlier this year, she made her return by joining Red Velvet on stage for SMTOWN LIVE’s Culture Humanity.
