SBS’s “Universe League” Set to Showcase K-Pop Talent with New Survival Show Format

The much-anticipated South Korean survival show Universe League is set to air on SBS starting November 22, 2024. This second season promises to bring an exciting twist to the genre, featuring a brand-new league format where contestants will compete in teams for the ultimate prize—a chance to debut in a global K-Pop boy group.

Hosted by the charismatic Jay Park, Universe League will showcase 42 contestants who will face off in a series of high-stakes missions. The goal? To earn a coveted spot in a world-renowned K-Pop group. What sets this season apart is its fresh approach: instead of individual battles, teams will be formed through a draft system, and members may be traded between teams throughout the competition, mimicking the dynamics of professional sports leagues.
