SEVENTEEN’s Joshua & Hoshi Halt Activities After Testing COVID-19 Positive

Pledis Entertainment has recently announced that two of their prized artists, SEVENTEEN’s Joshua and Hoshi, have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

The agency updated fans about the health condition of the two and their future activities. “Joshua and Hoshi experienced mild nasal congestion and cough on August 27 (ET) and preemptively took COVID-19 tests, and the test results returned as positive,” the agency said.

According to their official statement, the two are currently under self-quarantine and treatment in Washington, D.C., USA while the rest of their members are not experiencing any symptoms.

As scheduled, the upcoming concerts of SEVENTEEN will be held but with only 11 members for the Washington D.C. show on August 28 and Atlanta show on August 30.

The agency added, “We will continue to provide support for the rapid recovery of JOSHUA and HOSHI, placing our highest priority on the health and safety of our artists. We will also continue to fully cooperate with the requests and guidelines of healthcare authorities. Thank you.”

Meanwhile, in related news, SEVENTEEN bagged their very first win at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). They took home the Push Performance of the Year award with their 2021 track “Rock With You.“
