SEVENTEEN’s The8 To Not Participate In “Be The Sun” Jakarta Concert Due To Flu Symptoms
Hoping for your speedy recovery, SEVENTEEN’s The8!
The8 from the powerhouse K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN will not be participating in their upcoming Be The Sun concert in Jakarta, Indonesia on December 28.

Earlier today, Pledis Entertainment released an official statement regarding The8’s current health condition.
“We would like to inform you that SEVENTEEN member The8 will not be able to participate in the SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [BE THE SUN] – JAKARTA Concert. The8 visited the hospital as he was experiencing flu symptoms, received treatment, and is currently resting as per the medical staff’s advice,” said the agency.
In addition, the agency shared that the artist himself expressed his strong wish to participate in the event. However, placing the medical staff’s advice and the artist’s health as a top priority, it has been decided that he will not be attending the Jakarta concert.
“We ask our fans who have awaited this concert for your kind consideration. We will do our best to aid in The8’s treatment and recovery so that he can return in full health to his fans as quickly as possible. Thank you,” the agency added.
Meanwhile, the 13-member self-producing idols recently returned to the Philippines on December 17 to stage their third Be The Sun concert show in the country. After selling out the first two Manila shows in October, the group graced Bulacan to make history as the first K-pop group to hold a solo concert in Philippine Arena — the world’s largest indoor arena.
