SHINee’s Jonghyun to Drop First Solo Album ‘BASE’

After much anticipation, on January 2, SM Entertainment finally revealed that SHINee’s Jonghyun will be the agency’s first artist to make solo debut in 2015 with his album titled BASE, Mnet America reported.

Jonghyun’s first mini album is set to be released on January 12, marking his first solo promotion since SHINee’s debut six years ago.

Jonghyun has not only received much love from fans due to his powerful voice, but also showed his talent in songwriting. He personally wrote the lyrics to SHINee’s Juliet, Spoiler, as well as IU’s Gloomy Clock and Son Dam Bi’s Red Candle, and more.

Meanwhile, six teaser photos with masculine and impressive concept, as well as a teaser video for the solo album were also unveiled through Jonghyun’s official website.

The SHINee member will kick off his promotion activities for the album by performing on three major music shows, starting from January 9 on KBS’s Music Bank, followed by MBC’s Music Core on January 10, and SBS’s Inkigayo on January 11.
