SHINee’s Key Proves Impeccable Global Presence As “Gasoline” Tops iTunes Charts
Nothing seems to stop Key from displaying his magnificence as he tops the global iTunes charts with latest release!
Key of SHINee has once again demonstrated why he is dubbed as an all-around cheat key with his 2nd full album Gasoline dominating iTunes charts worldwide.
On August 30, Key released his 2nd full album Gasoline, consisting of 11 tracks – four of which he had a hand in writing the lyrics for. The album quickly rose to the top of the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 23 regions around the globe. This includes Finland, Brazil, Australia, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Indonesia, Russia, Saudi Arabia, India, Greece, Hong Kong, Singapore, Turkey, Mongolia, Peru, Taiwan, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, and the Philippines.
After a wait of about 11 months with first mini-album, BAD LOVE, in September 2021., Key has returned with a new one that features his immense talent as a versatile musician.
The album’s title track is a perfect example of his unrivalled charisma; an irresistible charm with an improved concept, sound, and color that only he can pull off.
“Gasoline” is a hip-hop dance song which combines colorful and magnificent brass sounds, powerful drum sounds, and an addictive chorus. Key also participated in the lyrics writing, comparing the gasoline’s explosive firepower to his overflowing confidence.
Meanwhile, Key has started promoting his album with an impressive comeback performance at M Countdown. He also performed his b-side track, “Bound.”
Key will continue his promotions with a special stage with NCT’s Jeno for their collaboration song “Villain.” A performance video of “Gasoline” was also released through STUDIO CHOOM on August 31.
