Yet another amazing feat of the SNSD girls!

At about 12 a.m (KST) on February 5, the music video for SNSD’s title track “Gee,” off the group’s first mini album, surpassed 200 million YouTube views.

This achievement came after nearly five years since the music video became the first by a Korean idol group to exceed the 100 million mark in April 2013.

Including “I GOT A BOY,” the talented girls now have two videos with over 200 million YouTube views, and three other videos of “THE BOYS,” “MR.TAXI,” and “Oh!” with more than 100 million YouTube views, proving to be “Queen of K-Pop.”

Released in June 2009, Gee had quickly become a phenomenon with thousands of fans covering the song and its catchy “crab leg dance.” The track set a new record with its nine consecutive wins at KBS’s Music Bank, dominating Melon and Mnet music charts for eight weeks in a row. It also conquered Thailand’s Channel V Countdown Asian chart in six consecutive weeks.
