Song Joong Ki’s Father’s Unhappiness With Song Hye Kyo Is Not True
Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo will be getting married on October 31.
According to the latest Taiwanese media reports, Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo became a fated couple after the successful 2016 drama Descendants of the Sun. Everything then happened very quickly, from the announcement of their relationship in July 2017 to their upcoming big day in a matter of days on 31 October 2017. However according to a recent report, it seems that Song Joong Ki’s father was not all approving of Song Hye Kyo due to their slight age difference.
Born in 1981, Song Hye Kyo is 4 years older than her husband-to-be Song Joong Ki (1985). Earlier on, a news outlet revealed that Song Joong Ki’s father had his own opinion on Song Hye Kyo’s age. He was quoted saying, “Maybe because I am an old man! Song Hye Kyo is older than my son, that makes me feel regretful. But my son said he likes, in this world, no one can win over the children’s parents.”
However, the Korean media outlets already revealed that this is not true after Song Joong Ki’s father personally did an interview in July 2017.
During the interview, Song Joong Ki’s father expressed that he was totally happy that his son is dating with Song Hye Kyo, and also gave them his blessings. He also came out to clarify the misunderstanding that people made about Song Hye Kyo, and emphasized he did not say such words before. It was all a misunderstanding and he respected his son’s decision.
