Starship Entertainment Announces Departure Of MONSTA X’s Wonho

MONSTA X experiences heartbreak just after their comeback with Wonho’s departure.

Starship Entertainment announced a devastating news in all their social media outlets earlier. The statement addresses the recent news about the group’s vocalist, Wonho.

The announcement expressed gratitude to fans who continually supported the group. However, the decision for Wonho to leave the group was reached after a long discussion.

“We greatly respect Wonho’s decision who wants to make sure the recent chain of events does not distract the exciting things that are happening for MONSTA X now and what lies ahead in the future,” Starship Entertainment relayed.

Wonho will not be participating for upcoming promotions and from this moment on, MONSTA X will continue with this week’s scheduled broadcasts as a six-member group.

Moreover, the entertainment agency firmly make a stand to continue holding legal liability for malicious and distorted claims regarding the issue. In addition, they promise to return with better music and stage for MONSTA X fans.

Wonho says goodbye

Aside from Starship Entertainment’s statement, Wonho took his time to post a farewell message on the group’s fan cafe to address the current situation. He delivered a handwritten letter to his fans apologizing for not keeping his promise to provide good memories since he caused so much pain in the past few weeks. Wonho then expressed his gratitude for the blessings and love he received as a MONSTA X member. He addressed his co-members, telling them that he is grateful for them and that he loves them.

The singer continued to explain about a time when he was immature and made many mistakes. From then on, he stayed on track and worked hard to avoid being ashamed of himself. He continued to stay that he will be leaving MONSTA X. Wonho is apologetic for causing harm to his members and for disappointing his fans who believed in him.

He closed the letter asking people to give strength to MONSTA X. “The members have nothing to do with me. I carefully ask that you at least give support and encouragement to the members. They are people who are too good to stop and get hurt like this because of someone like me. I am so thankful and apologetic to the staff, members, and lastly our fans who have allowed me to enjoy such happiness at this point.”

Multiple fans continued to tweet positive things for Wonho, hoping to comfort the idol who gave them comfort in their times of need too.
