Super Junior’s Yesung And BumKey Collaborate For SM Station Track

Mark your calendars, folks – because there will be a new SM Station track coming your way soon!

On January 10, SM Station will be releasing “Carpet,” a collaboration between Super Junior’s Yesung and rapper BumKey. There have been various previews posted online, including a teaser video below:

SM Station announced the new song through a video of Yesung introducing “Carpet.” In the video, the song is said to convey calmness, and designed to be a healing song that the singer hopes will warm each listener’s winter.

Aside from the teasers of the song, SM Station has also posted concept photos of the music video of “Carpet.”

The accompanying music video mirrors the song’s sentiment, portraying Japanese model Eri Tachibana as a bystander, who provides warmth and healing to a unnamed companion growing up.

The music video is also meant to provide a visual depiction of the metaphor of a forgotten carpet.

Yesung has been working with a lot of collaborations lately. Last month, he collaborated with singer Chungha for the track “Whatcha Doin’.” Their collaboration was more upbeat and lively, and was released through the sub-label, SJ Label.

Overall, Yesung and BumKey’s collaboration is shaping up to be a healing companion for everyone who wants to give it a listen. The song will be released online, and be available for streaming on Melon, Genie, Spotify, and Naver TV.
