SuperM Performs “With You” And Greets Fans During “One World: Together At Home” Mega Concert
SuperM graced the massive One World: Together at Home concert with a special performance they prepared to cheer up their fans.
On April 19, SuperM made their mark as the only K-Pop artist to appear on One World: Together At Home, a mega online charity concert that was broadcasted live all over the world.
Featuring a stellar lineup of globally-acclaimed personalities like Lady Gaga, Sir Elton John, and Sir Paul McCartney, the spectacular event went live for eight hours on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Naver V Live, and other online streaming platforms.
During the event, SuperM received enthusiastic responses by singing their track “With You” and giving an energetic live performance while cooking, exercising and drawing in their own spaces. These activities were in line with the “Social Distance Setting” campaign to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
SuperM’s new song “With You” is a song that contains melodies that anyone can enjoy as soon as they hear it. The lyrics also related to one’s desire to be with their loved ones, hoping to give comfort to people around the world who are suffering because of COVID-19.
Aside from endowing the sweet performance to fans, the members of SuperM said, “We’ve been working hard to communicate with you far away while preparing for live streaming performances during our stay at home.”
“We hope our song will be shared around the world to give you energy. We hope all of you are healthy and safe,” they said, leaving a message of support to everyone.
One World: Together At Home attracted a total of more than 3.37 million viewers from YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Naver V Live.
Showing their support for the group, fans showed their overflowing excitement to the event by leaving comments such as “When will SuperM come out” and “I hope SuperM comes out soon”. Immediately after the concert, SuperM swept the top real-time trends on Twitter in the U.S, Britain, and Mexico.
In addition to SuperM, the concert featured globally influential stars such as Stevie Wonder, Celine Dion, Taylor Swift, Niall Horan, Sam Smith, Camilla Cabello, Usher, Ke$ha, Adam Lambert, Rita Ora, Charlie Puth, and more.
One World: Together at Home is an online concert organized by Lady Gaga in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the global charity group Global Citizen. The event was designed to cheer and encourage medical workers around the world who are fighting against COVID-19.
Part of its aim as well is to raise funds as aid for COVID-19 response. Shortly after the event’s broadcast, Global Citizen shared that they were able to collect a whopping total of $127.9 million thanks to the viewers’ generous hearts.
