SuperM Supports Global Citizen Campaign To Help Overcome COVID-19 Pandemic
SuperM takes on a meaningful partnership amid these trying times!
SM Entertainment’s power boy group SuperM has partnered once again with the Global Citizen, a world-class charity, to help the world recover from COVID-19.
Just recently, Global Citizen announced that the K-pop septet will be joining the meaningful campaign called “Recovery Plan for the World” which encourages participation in activities and raising funds to overcome COVID-19. Aside from this, the campaign also aims to help overcome the hunger crisis, expand and support education, protect the environment, and promote social equality around the world.
In 2021, we’re joining @GlblCtzn to bring the world together and unite Global Citizens, leaders, artists, philanthropists and more as a part of the Recovery Plan for the World. Let’s recover better together: https://t.co/o6F4CeFJOw #SuperM#WorldRecoveryPlan pic.twitter.com/pMowTp9baI

Proving the group’s global influence, SuperM is the first and only K-pop act to join the said initiative. Global celebrities such as Billie Eilish, Coldplay, Hugh Jackman, Miley Cyrus, and Usher are participating as well. Meanwhile, a total of 21 governments and the United Nations (UN) also expressed support for the project.
In October of last year, SuperM took part in the World Health Organization’s (WOH’s) Big Event for Mental Health. The idol group also joined the lineup for WHO and Global Citizen’s virtual benefit concert One World: Together At Home in April 2020.
