T-ara turns down liquor advertisement deal worth hundred of thousands

Core Contents Media have issued a statement revealing T-ara and the agency’s decision to  turn down a liquor advertisement deal after concerns over negative influences on teenagers. 

The company has recognised that it is “many teenagers'” dream to become a celebrity and that it “does not seem right for idols to participate in liquor advertisement who has a huge influence with their dance, music, fashion and action.”

“So, we rejected the advertisement offer.” Core Contents Media said.

Core Contents Media, who also manages Davichi and The Seeya continued, “T-ara will not be appearing in any liquor advertisements that could possibly negatively influence teenagers’ alcohol culture.”

Aside from maknae Areum, who is 19, all other T-ara members are above the drinking age in Korea.

Idols Hyuna, Hara (KARA) and Hyorin (SISTAR) recently inked a deal with a soju company and released individual advertisements.
