Taeyang vowed in front of his fans and press media that he would return well.

On March 12, BIGBANG’s vocalist Taeyang officially entered the army. According to YG Entertainment, the idol will serve his military service at an army unit after completing his five-week basic training in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province.

Many fans in Korea and from overseas gathered at the singer’s enlistment site to bid farewell their idol. In response to fans’ support, Taeyang sincerely expressed his gratitude by greeting as well as shaking his fans’ hands before entering the army unit. Besides, he also strongly stated in front of the public that “I will return well.”

It is noted that Taeyang’s wife Min Hyo Rin did not show up to bid goodbye to her husband. The two tied the knot on February 3. They decided to postpone their honeymoon due to Taeyang’s military enlistment.

Right after Taeyang, another member of BIGBANG, Daesung, will join the army on March 13. On the same day of the latter’s enlistment, YG Entertainment will release a special BIGBANG song, titled “Flower Road”. The track is considered as a farewell gift for the group’s beloved fans ahead of their temporary hiatus.
