Vocal powerhouse and Girls’ Generation member, Taeyeon, set another milestone with her repackage album, Purpose, as it ranks No. 1 in various countries.
No. 1 in 24 Countries
After its digital release, Taeyeon’s 2nd full-length repackage album, Purpose, ranks No. 1 in Australia, Ireland, Finland, Sweden, Hungary, Lebanon, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Brunei, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Taiwan, Thailand, Philippines, Macau, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Paraguay, Russia, United Arab Emirates, and Israel.
Previously, Taeyeon’s second album, Purpose, ranked No. 1 in the iTunes chart in October 2019 in 22 countries. She has set a record taking over the No. 1 spot in most countries for a female soloist. This year, she broke her own record by landing on the top spot in 24 countries.
Purpose is not only ranking No.1 in the iTunes chart. It also ranked first in China’s largest music site, QQ Music for digital album sales chart.
To add to Purpose’s achievements, Taeyeon’s title song “Dear Me“ ranked at the top spot in the real-time music rankings of major Korean music sites such as Melon, Bugs Music, and Genie on the day of its release.
Taeyeon’s THE UNSEEN Concert
Demonstrating her power as a solo female artist, Taeyeon is set to serenade her fans with THE UNSEEN concert.
Taeyeon is set to hold a 2-day concert, THE UNSEEN, at the SK Handball Stadium in Seoul Olympic Park on January 17th and 19th. She will also return to Singapore for THE UNSEEN concert on February 1 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Taeyeon is undeniably one of the most powerful vocalists in K-pop and her continued success is all because of her unparalleled talent.
