Taeyeon’s angelic nature shines through as she makes a heartwarming donation to the Korean Red Cross.
Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon has a kind attitude as angelic as her voice.
On July 24, it was revealed that the singer recently made a generous donation to the Jeonbuk Branch of the Korean Red Cross.
A representative from the Korean Red Cross confirmed that Taeyeon had donated 100 million won, to be used for the benefits of low-income women. The singer expressed her desire to support women and adolescents by providing basic health care products. The Korean Red Cross noted that the donation will be used to provide health care products to elementary, middle, and high school students within the area.
Through this donation, Taeyeon became the 132nd member of the Red Cross Honors Club (RCHC), which celebrates people who have made significant donations to the organizations. Notably, the singer is the first celebrity from the Jeonbuk province to be recognized by the RCHC.
The singer shared how she was motivated to donate to the Red Cross. “I have seen my mother bring hope to people through her activities with the Red Cross,” Taeyeon said. “I hope this donation will warm the hearts of the marginalized female students in Jeonbuk.”
Recently, Taeyeon charmed the world with the release of “A Poem Titled ‘You’”. The song, which is part of the Hotel Del Luna soundtrack, topped major South Korean music charts: namely MelOn, Genie, Naver Music, Bugs, and Ole Music.
