Trending: Park Bom leaving Roommate; Kris makes comeback; Baekhyun apologises
It has been a big week this week at hellokpop and so we’re here to help you recap on this week’s biggest news.
Industry insiders are saying Park Bom will leave SBS’s ‘Roommate’ for good.
The 30-year-old singer was reported to have not shown up for last Saturday’s scheduled recording.
Park Bom will not meet the cast members currently in Japan, despite recently wrapping up a concert in Japan on Sunday.
Park was embroiled in a drug scandal earlier this month for allegedly smuggling 82 amphetamine pills four years ago from the US to South Korea, where it is illegal.
Kris’ song for Tiny Times 3 has been released this week. The song Time Boils The Rain was the closing song for the Chinese movie, which opened in China today. Tiny Times 3 director Guo Jing Ming has revealed this week on Weibo that Kris would be singing the film’s closing song.
Guo said that the song was his favourite from the movie’s sound track. The Chinese director also said Kris would not appear on-screen due to ‘some reasons’, but said fans could still listen with their hearts.
Baekhyun has deleted an apology he posted earlier this week on Instagram.
The EXO member said he realised it was too late, but said he wanted to apologise to his fans about recent news of him dating Girls’ Generation member Taeyeon.
“I’ve written and erased my words many times, but I felt as if I was just making excuses and didn’t have the courage to express my heart and resolve the misunderstandings,”
“I’m so sorry that I caused pain to fans who have always been precious to me. And I’m sorry again that I hurt you more through the misunderstandings that came from this situation.”
Baekhyun also said that EXO’s name was precious and that he had never thought of the group lightly.
“I will continue to strive to become EXO’s Baekhyun who does his best on and off stage. I hope that these words at least will come off sincere.”
