TXT Tops Oricon’s Daily Album Chart With “Chapter of the Name: TEMPTATION”

There’s simply no stopping TXT from reaching new heights!

South Korean boy group TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) is continuing their “career high” march at home and abroad with their new album Chapter of the Name: TEMPTATION.

According to the latest chart released by Japan’s Oricon chart on January 28, TXT’s fifth mini-album Chapter of the Name: TEMPTATION sold 184,971 copies. As soon as it entered Oricon’s Daily Album Ranking, it went straight to No. 1.

Back in 2022, the cumulative sales volume of the previous fourth mini-album minisode 2: Thursday’s Child in Japan was 179,421 copies (based on Oricon’s Annual Ranking 2022), and TXT surpassed it at once on the first day of the new release, proving its “4th generation leader” status.

In addition, Chapter of Name: TEMPTATION topped the iTunes’ Top Album chart in Japan, and the music video for the title song “Sugar Rush Ride” topped YouTube’s most popular videos.

Also, according to the latest chart (as of January 27) released by Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming company, “Sugar Rush Ride” was streamed 2,216,222 times on the first day of its release.

Moreover, TXT’s newest album recorded sales of 1,868,919 copies on the day of its release. Notably, they became the first K-pop group since BTS to obtain sales of more than 1.8 million copies on the first day.
