Aiming to conquer the music scene one step at a time, Weeekly lands a remarkable feat with their latest offering, Play Game: AWAKE!

Charming girl group Weeekly proves their steady and continuous musical growth by marking their latest comeback with an outstanding sales feat.

Just recently, the group made their return to the K-Pop scene with their first single album Play Game: Awake. Accompanied by the fiery and fierce lead single “Ven Para,” the album showcases their magnificent singing skills and techniques.

Unveiled on March 7, Weeekly’s latest music offering has recorded 80,000 copies sold on Hanteo. Notably, the girls were able to attain such an amazing feat in just 8 days since the album’s successful worldwide release.

In addition, Play Game: Awake‘s initial sales achievement was way higher than what their last album Play Game: Holiday attained. The latter recorded 31,000 copied sold only in its first week, which is still quite impressive for a more than a one-year-old group.

Such subsequent feats are fitting presents for the girls who have achieved a lot in the past year. They won a few accolades from the biggest award-giving bodies in South Korea and even featured in many official soundtracks.

This just goes to show how much growth and potential Weeekly have demonstrated in a short amount of time.

CONQUERING THE INDUSTRY

Proving their growing influence, Weeekly dominated South Korea’s Gaon Charts with their latest album. Meanwhile, their newest title track “Ven Para” also took over local music charts including Melon’s Daily Chart and Bugs.

It also reigned over numerous international charts including iTunes Song Chart and YouTube Daily Chart.

Apart from these, all other songs from the album such as “Solar” and “Where is my Love?” managed to enter the highly-competitive charts.

Meanwhile, the music video for “Ven Para” has already amassed 23 million views on Youtube, proving Weeekly’s hot popularity. The group will continue to promote their newest offering on various music shows in South Korea.
