WINNER’s Kim Jin Woo Becomes “Dingdae” Season 5 Host
Ding University just announced its newest sunbae.
Kim Jin Woo (also known as JINU) of WINNER is confirmed to be taking on the MC role in Dingdae. He is succeeding the Calm Man (Lee Mal Nyeon).
Dingdae is EBS’ YouTube content which features “lively cultural lectures for adults”. Audiences in their 20’s and 30’s love the show for its useful tips and contents that combine “spiciness and fun”.
Hwang Kwang Hee, Hwang Chi Yeol, and Calm Man (Lee Mal Nyeon) previously assumed the duty of senpai which corresponds to the role of a fixed MC.
According to the production crew, Jin Woo “is of similar age as the main Dingdae students (subscribers). As such, having a perspective and experience that can relate with many things is a great strength”.
“We will show [viewers] Kim Jin Woo’s new charms that is realistic and full of life, which [somewhat] contrast with his unrealistic visuals. It is also something that has not been seen before in Dingdae”, they added.

Meanwhile, JINU expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to become an MC. He said, “It was a new feeling and I was very nervous to be with EBS, which I saw when I was young and grew up with.”
“I would like to express my gratitude and love to the production team, Professor Kilhee, and Assistant Professor Bucheol who welcomed me with great hospitality. Because of them, I finished the first recording in a relaxed and enjoyable way,” he continued.
JINU also stated that as he interacted with the people in Dingdae, he felt “healed and received a lot of good inspiration”. Furthermore, WINNER’s eldest added, “I want to continue to work with a joyful heart and deliver greater love and joy to Ding University student.”
Season 5 of Dingdae with Kim Jin Woo will be available on YouTube every Tuesday at 7PM. The latest season officially starts on March 7, 2023.
