Have a safe and meaningful service, WINNER’s Mino!

WINNER’s Song Mino officially halted his activities as a singer and variety star to fulfill his mandatory military duty.

Just recently, he officially enlisted in the army training center to receive basic military training before fulfilling his national defense duties as a public service worker. As announced by his agency, YG Entertainment, there was no separate on-site event for his enlistment.

Song Mino is the third WINNER member to enlist after Kim Jinwoo and Lee Seunghoon. Since their debut in 2014, the multi-talented boy group has released hit songs such as “REALLY REALLY,” “EVERYDAY,” “LOVE ME LOVE ME,” and “ISLAND,” among many others.

In addition, he worked as a rapper and solo singer. He won as a runner-up on Mnet’s Show Me the Money 4 and delighted fans with his solo albums. Moreover, he took over the entertainment scene and became a fixed member of the popular variety program New Journey to the West.

Earlier this month, YG Entertainment released a statement regarding the enlistment of their prized artist. “We ask for your warm encouragement so that Song Mino can fulfill his military duty and come back healthy.”
