Netflix’s ‘Messily Ever After (WT)’ Starring Kim Min Ha and Noh Sang Hyun Explores the Highs and Lows of a 10-Year Relationship
Netflix has confirmed production of its new romantic comedy film Messily Ever After (WT), starring Kim Min-ha and Noh Sang-hyun as a long-term couple navigating the highs and lows of a decade-long relationship.
The streaming platform announced that the film will center on Su-hyun and Hyun-tae, who first meet and fall in love as art school students. Ten years later, their relationship remains intense but complicated, oscillating between deep affection and mounting frustration. The story explores the emotional complexity of long-term romance, focusing on the loyalty, jealousy, and familiarity that come with knowing someone intimately for years.
Kim Min Ha will play Su-hyun, a perfectionist curator who maintains control in her professional life but struggles to manage her emotions when it comes to love.
Noh Sang Hyun takes on the role of Hyun-tae, a passionate installation artist who is equally committed to his craft and his relationship. The pair reunite on screen following their previous collaboration in Pachinko.
The film will be directed by Seo Jung-min and produced by Bombaram Film, known for projects such as Love Untangled and Kim Ji-young, Born 1982.
Netflix said the project aligns with its continued effort to spotlight emerging creative voices, following titles including 20th Century Girl and Lost in Starlight.
Additional details, including the release date, have yet to be announced. The film will be released exclusively on Netflix.
