2PM’s Taecyeon to Possibly Star in KBS Drama ‘Assembly’
It is likely that Hottests will be able to see 2PM’s Taecyeon acting in KBS2’s new drama titled Assembly.
According to a representative from JYP Entertainment on June 11, the singer and actor recently received a casting offer for the drama, and he is positively reviewing the role.
If Taecyeon confirms his appearance on Assembly, he will act as Kim Kyu Hwan: a public administration graduate who has been trying to become a police officer for three years. Kim seems to be a hard-working guy as he studies in the library by day, and works as a substitute driver by night.
Assembly is a drama that revolves around Jin Sang Pil (played by Jung Jae Young), an ignorant, yet brave and righteous assemblyman who used to be a welder. The drama aims to portray the different sides of Korean politics and the National Assembly. It is written by famous scriptwriter Jung Hyun Min, who worked on the 2014 historical drama Jung Do Jeon.
Jung Jae Young, Kim Seo Hyung, Park Young Gyu, and Song Yoon Ah are confirmed to star in the upcoming drama. The first episode is slated for broadcast at 10 p.m (KST) on July 15, after the completion of the current KBS2 drama Masked Prosecutor.
