“Are You Human?” Debuts On Top Of Weekly Content Power Index Rankings

It seems that Seo Kang Joon’s dual roles as a robot and chaebol in Are You Human? are appealing to consumers.

Aside from seeing improved ratings, South Korean television series Are You Human? also sees favorable numbers in terms of overall popularity and influence on consumer behavior as it leads the weekly Content Power Index rankings.

Seo Kang Joon’s newest drama, which premiered on June 4, took the first place in CPI among television shows for the week of June 4 to 10. It recorded a score of 272.1 points.

The KBS2 TV drama, which utilizes computer graphics and boasts a budget of 10 billion Korean won, is showing an improved run especially last week when it recorded its highest viewership rating to date.

Are You Human? follows Nam Shin III, an android who pretends to be Nam Shin, a chaebol who met an accident and falls into coma. Seo Kang Joon pairs up with actress Gong Seung Yoon as his bodyguard, Kang So Bong.

Meanwhile, tvN’s Wednesday-Thursday dramaWhat’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, placed second in terms of CPI with 260 points.

The drama, which began airing on June 6, stars Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young as handsome and capable company vice president Lee Young Joon and highly skilled secretary Kim Mi So, respectively.

SBS’ Baek Jong Won’s Alley Restaurant, MBC’s I Live Alone, and KBS2 TV’s Hello were ranked third, fourth, and fifth, respectively.

The cooking variety program, which spun from Baek Jong Won’s Top 3 Chef King, recorded 243.2 points.

The MBC’s entertainment program, which currently features Jun Hyun Moo, Han Hye Jin, Park Na Rae, Kian 84, Henry Lau, and Lee Si Eon, garnered 224.5 points.

KBS’ longtime show, Hello, scored 220.2 points.
