Hong Suk Chun, EXID’s Hani, and Shin Dong Yup To Lead New Romance Show

Another romance reality show will soon grace the small screens and it will be hosted by three of the most popular television personalities today, Hong Suk Chun, EXID’s Hani, and Shin Dong Yup!

Shin Dong Yup, EXID’s Hani, and Hong Suk Chun are set to lead the newest romance-themed program on the online streaming platform Wavve starring happy queer couples.

Titled Marry Queer, the program will follow the journey of queer couples forging their way to dating and marriage. The three MCs are expected to bring fun, meaningful, and heartfelt commentaries as they watch the cast grow, love, and share their thoughts to each other.

Shin Dong Yup, who is known for his successful and appealing stints in numerous entertainment shows such as DoReMi Market, My Little Old Boy and Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend, will lead the MC team. His witty humor and bright personality will accompany the fun, relatability, and consolation he will bring the show. With his open-mindedness and empathy at the forefront, Shin Dong Yup has been well loved for his abilities to host programs that deal with dating, marriage, divorce, and all aspects of love.

Joining Shin is none other than Hong Suk Chun, who was the first Korean celebrity to come out as gay in 2000. He also has had outstanding stints in variety shows such as Saturday Night Live Korea, Law of the Jungle: New Caledonia, and 4 Wheeled Restaurant. Since he came out publicly, Suk Chun has been strongly advocating against stereotypes and prejudices with his work in dramas, reality shows, and music.

Lastly, we have EXID’s Hani, who is known for his versatility and for being a well-rounded artist. She pretty much can do everything from singing, dancing, acting, and of course, hosting. She is also known to be great at empathizing and showing her relatability with viewers and guests.

Regarding the trio’s upcoming project, the production team of the show commented, “Please look forward to seeing [the couples’] chemistry while watching over and supporting the sometimes sweet and sometimes rough journeys they take toward marriage.”

Marry Queer will start airing on Wavve this July.
