Jang Geun Suk Confirms TV Drama Comeback with SBS Court Drama “Switch”
Jang Geun Suk gears up for a con-artist role in SBS legal drama Switch: Change the World.
Since the last committed portrayal in SBS’s Jackpot which sadly did not hit the prize, Jang Geun Suk has been promoting in Japan, and has had quick projects as a host of audition show Produce 101 Season 1 and a cast member of celebrity reality show Candy in my Ear in 2016. His quick cameo in Hong sisters Hwayugi recently surely made his fans miss him even more.
Fortunately, the actor affirms the offer to join SBS’s prosecutor camp through his agency Tree J Company. He will work with Han Ye Ri (Age of Youth Series) to play the role of a fraud artist, who will impersonate a prosecutor.
Playing dual roles as a prosecutor and conman will be a deviation from his previous flower boy projects. Based on his committed portrayal in his last TV drama as a royal gambler and the raw emotional depth as a gifted musician in Beethoven Virus, it is promising to anticipate how he will rise to the challenge of portraying a fab scammer and prosecutor.
Jang Geun Suk expressed excitement on the dual role that he is about to take in Switch: Change the World. The actor’s portfolio flaunts classic film and TV favorites, which includes You’re Beautiful, Love Rain, You’re my Pet and more.
Switch replaces Return on SBS’s Monday-Tuesday slot this March.
