Jung Woo Sung Wins His First Best Actor Honor In The 40th Blue Dragon Film Awards
In the hearts of the fans of Jung Woo Sung, he has always been their best actor.
But the tangible award is undeniably something worth celebrating.
Finally achieving his first Best Actor award from the prestigious Blue Dragon Film Awards, Jung Woo Sung has nothing but happiness in accepting the victorious feat.
Albeit, his illustrious career as an actor and numerous box office certified films, Jung has yet to achieve the Best Actor honors from the award-giving body. After 25 years and five nominations, Jung finally received the honor through film, Witness.
Previously, he garnered nominations for films Beat, Mutt Boy, The Divine Move, Asura: The City of Madness and Witness.
In his acceptance speech, Jung relayed not expecting to receive the award since the film Parasite was hauling awards. But, when he heard a fellow actor cheering for him to receive the award, he felt grateful and excited of the possibility of it happening.
Moreover, he thanks the directors who spearheaded the production of Witness.
Beaming, he also mentioned his best friend Lee Jung Jae, whom he believes to be happier than anyone for his successful feat.
“A man who is watching on TV at home, my friend Lee Jung Jae is probably happy more than anyone. I will celebrate with you,” the actor said.
He ends his speech with dedicating the joy he received to everyone and a sincere thank you.
Other memorable works of Jung includes A Moment To Remember, The Good The Bad and The Weird, Daisy and The Divine Move to name a few.
