Kim Nam Gil might come back to dramaland soon!
South Korean actor Kim Nam Gil is positively considering an offer to make his return to the small screen with a new SBS drama.
According to a drama official, the actor is in talks to lead the upcoming drama where he will play the role of a priest.
Tentatively titled The Hot Blooded Priest, the drama will feature Kim as a priest with anger management issues and obsessive compulsive disorder who is also pessimistic and cynical. The character is further described as causing paralysis in the mentality of the congregation and the surrounding people.
However, the priest is said to have a very sharp and accurate judgement, insight, and analysis of people and the world.
Aside from priesthood, The Hot Blooded Priest will see the participation of detectives in the story. Moreover, the drama is expected to explore the local welfare institutions, pseudo-religion, and sexual harassment.
The upcoming drama will be penned by Park Jae Bum who wrote God’s Quiz, Blood, and Good Doctor. It is reportedly set to air on November.
Meanwhile, if Kim confirms his participation in The Hot Blooded Priest, it will be his comeback drama since time slip period drama Live Up To Your Name, Dr. Heo, where he played the role of a genius accupuncturist who gets transported in the modern times.
Additionally, the actor has recently signed with C-JeS Entertainment for an exclusive contract.
