Kwang Hee, Jo Se Ho And Nam Chang Hee To Team Up As New “Weekly Idol” MCs

Meet your new Weekly Idol MCs — Kwang Hee, Jo Se Ho, and Nam Chang Hee!

MBC Plus confirmed that its variety program Weekly Idol will welcome new sets of hosts in the persons of Kwang Hee, Jo Se Ho, and Nam Chang Hee.

As the show undergoes overall changes, the three new MCs are set to add to the fun and entertainment and showcase their variety show expertise on the show which has been on air since 2011.

“You can expect a new look of Weekly Idol as the three new MCs have different colors. It will be an MC combination that will be entertaining and friendly to the viewers and idols,” said the show’s director Im Joon Jeong.

A new Weekly Idol will feature new corners and content. The newly changed program will be available on MBC Every1 and MBC Music beginning January 9.

Meet the New Hosts

Kwang Hee

Kwang Hee debuted as a member of the idol group ZE:A. However, he rose to popularity for his variety show skills which he showcased in a number of programs including Infinite Challenge. He recently completed his mandatory military service and is expected to return to the entertainment world with new shows including Weekly Idol.

As an MC in the show and an idol himself, he will become a mentor who can naturally lead idols in delivering their different charms. 

Jo Se Ho

Jo Se Ho has been loved by people through his stints in Infinite Challenge and Happy Together, showcasing a unique and funny chemistry with the Nation’s MC Yoo Jae Suk. 

Nam Chang Hee

Nam Chang Hee is a known comedian who also successfully ventured into acting, with his most recent work being the acclaimed drama Mr. Sunshine. As the host of Weekly Idol, he will give additional fun to the show especially since he and Jo are close friends.
