“Road To Kingdom” Contenders’ Captivating 90-Second Performances That You Need To Check Out
Which of these K-Pop acts has stolen your hearts on Road To Kingdom?
Mnet’s newest competition show Road To Kingdom is taking the K-Pop world by storm with its exciting and equally entertaining start.
Premiering last April 30, the survival show introduced PENTAGON, ONF, Golden Child, The Boyz, VERIVERY, ONEUS, and TOO as the male idol groups who will be vying to win the glorious crown.
The first episode featured the seven groups as they met each other. Welcomed warmly by the idols, hosts Lee Da Hee and Jang Sung Kyu then revealed the format of the show.
The groups will be competing in four rounds. Though unlike in Queendom, the male spin-off show has to eliminate two groups during the competition. This means that only five teams will be performing in the live final round. It is important for the groups to be consistent as their scores for the first to fourth rounds will be accumulated to determine the winner.
Quickly after the announcement of the new format, the seven boy groups then showed their respective 90-second performances. The list below shows the rankings as well:
#1 “Sword of Victory” by The Boyz
#2 “Road To The Throne” by PENTAGON
#3 “FACE it” by VERIVERY
#4 “Beginning” by Golden Child
#5 “Lights on” by ONF
#6 “Phantom of ONEUS” by ONEUS
#7 “Into the dysTOOpia” by TOO
For its next episode, the groups will face each other in the first round. With the theme “Song of King”, PENTAGON, ONF, Golden Child, The Boyz, VERIVERY, ONEUS, and TOO will recreate and perform the well-loved tracks of their senior artists.
