Sung Hoon and SNSD’s Yuri Wrap Up Filming “Sound Of Your Heart” Reboot!
The Sound of Your Heart reboot starring Sung Hoon and Girls’ Generation’s Yuri is on its way as it wraps up the filming for Seasons 2 and 3!
According to Cross Pictures, the production company handling Sound of Your Heart, both seasons 2 and 3 of the drama reboot, ended shooting on April 30. They also revealed that the drama is scheduled to air in the second half of 2018.
Korean heartthrob Sung Hoon stars opposite Girls’ Generation’s Yuri as they take on the roles of Jo Suk and Ae Bong, respectively. “I have always worked hard and had a lot of fun in shooting with a pleasant atmosphere, and I am confident that this will be a work that will give a pleasant smile to viewers,” Sung Hoon says.
“I think it will be a work that can discover new charms that I have never seen before. I ask for the viewer’s anticipation,” Yuri adds.
Cross Pictures also says, “The combination of the next generation Hallyu star Sung Hoon and actress Kwon Yuri will provide a new attraction to the sitcom audience.”
Sound of Your Heart is a drama based on the popular and longest running Naver webtoon of the same name. The show’s first season recorded more than 40 million views in the web version only in Korea and amassed over 250 million views across the globe. Fans have been looking forward to the next season since early 2017, and have been more than delighted to hear news about the reboot.
Jung So Min and Lee Kwang Soo previously took on the roles of Ae Bong and Jo Suk in the first season, and have left huge shoes to fill for Sung Hoon and Yuri. The show had served as one of the success stories in the Korean sitcom industry after showing a new leap through its high viewership.
“The reboot is a great achievement because it was born after the previous season spread the laughing virus to the world,” the production company says.
The sitcom, which will air on KBS2, also counts Shim Hye Jin, Ju Jin Mo, and Tae Hang Ho as part of its cast.
